Combined Pancreas-Kidney Transplantation done in India

History was created in the transplantation diary of India when the first combined pancreas and kidney transplantation was done at the Institute of kidney Diseases and Research Centre, Civil Hospital Compound, Asarwa, Ahmedabad on July 17, 1999 from a cadaver donor. The recipient was a young woman with diabetes and renal failure.
